SAS Tutorial 8 (Common SAS University Problem) [2018]

When you install SAS University Edition or sometimes after an update you get the following error message in VirtualBox.

My Youtube video entitled Common SAS University Problem [2018] shows how to diagnose this problem and fix it.

To fix this error you are forced to change some settings in your computer’s UEFI/BIOS system. Start by rebooting your computer and looking at the last line on your monitor. There you will see a message about pressing a key to enter setup mode (usually F1, F2, F12, or ESC). The message may disappear quickly and you may not press the correct key in time so reboot your computer again. This time start the computer and tap the specified key repeatedly at the same time. You cannot tap the key too many times.

You can see my video here but your screen may not look like mine. If you have the same menu as me then follow the directions. If you have one that looks different then watch the video and search your own menu for similar items. If you are not comfortable with that then get some assistance. Also, if you screw up your computer doing this you can’t hold me responsible. Proceed with caution.

If you have problems please leave a comment and I will answer it ASAP.
